Looking for calves

Hi everyone, we’re looking for a new source of ideally Angus (named sire) calves anywhere between 100-140. Looking for at least 3 weeks of age ex farm, don’t want to be getting them from a collection centre or market for health status reasons. Aiming to fill the sheds from April to August. Need to be out of big cows, not interested in the Jersey bred stuff as they just don’t fit in on our system.
I know I’m looking for what everyone wants but worth a try.
We’re based at Lincoln and looking for someone within 80 miles ideally.
We get calves from @Durry cows in the autumn and are looking for someone else very similar. Good start to calves from strong cows and a long working relationship between the two of us. With decent number of calves at each collection we could be collecting weekly or fortnightly.
We would also be looking to do first pneumonia vaccine on farm at our expense and labour ahead of collection if possible.
Feel free to PM with any details or if you know of anyone who may be able to help

just got 50 odd coming off 1 farm next week, all AI by one sire, all vaccinated v pneumonia, and all cows vaccinated v BVD, LEPTO, IBR.

they are coming from Cornwall, out of decent cows. But the advantages over buying through the market .................................................. time, disease risk etc. And not paying over the odds either. But he's changing back to cont bulls.

we use Bovolta, for our own calves, vet tech calls in once a week, and jabs them, as we block calve, this works very well, and is def worth doing. They will dehorn as well.

gets things done, when they need to be done, otherwise one tends to wait until you have a bottle sized group to vaccinate, and things 'drift' a bit.

the first group of calves, last sept, missed the vaccine, our fault, but has been a worthwhile 'test' of how effective the vaccine is. In what has been a shite weather winter for calves, most of the issues have come from that group, they just haven't done so well.

How about go onto SML and find some and start a regular collection agreement with someone on there ?
