Is that why you never made it to the world stages?
That looks pretty old, whatever it is; you'll find a newer one will go faster and be more reliable.
In fact, you could get something much better looking too:
I'm not the one with a 'Herbie' fetish...you are plain wierd
I'm not the one with a 'Herbie' fetish...
Apologies, I though it might be a 'Ford' in your pics...?and neither an appreciation of British heritage

Contact Carmarthenshire 'Head of Highways' Stephen Pilliner [email protected]I ask because I've just received a mail from a friend who, being rather p!ssed off with the state of the roads here, has been pushing the County Council to actually do something about it. Said friend has a manufacturing business employing about forty people, so he pays his fair portion of tax and helps others to pay theirs too. He has got nowhere...
We have a facility on the County Council website which allows for notification of a pothole (note the singular), The council then send out a 'team' to fix it - and they do this fairly quickly. But the'ill only fix a single pothole as registered via the website. The twenty others surrounding it will be ignored every time...
If you notify them of eight potholes, individually, eight will be filled, if you tell them of twelve, they will fill twelve. There is no way they can be made to fill multiple potholes on the basis of one notification. This is truly f**king ridiculous.
My friend has being trying to have a chat with the Chief Executive of Carmarthenshire County Council, he is a determined fellow, but this has so far proven unsuccessful even after nearly six months of trying. And yet, he has been able to meet his MP, AM, the former FM, and he even met the UK's PM last year, although that was not about the roads.
He is one step away from taking out double-page ads in the local press to embarrass the Chief Executive into seeing him, if she dares...
The UK PM receives £167k each year (that includes his MP salary); the First Minister of Wales receives £153k each year; the Chief Executive of Carmarthenshire County Council now receives £154k each year - a few years ago, it was actually even more than the UK PM was then getting...
I have no problem with the free market seeing someone get what they can; but this isn't the free market, there is no risk in these job, it all comes form our taxes; something is very wrong with the amounts these people are paid, either the PM and FM should be getting significantly more, or the Chief Executive should be getting far, far less.
I think he has already, but I'll pass that on. Cheers.Contact Carmarthenshire 'Head of Highways' Stephen Pilliner [email protected]
To Update You. S G Pilliner (Carmarthenshire Head of Highways) has apparently retired as of October 2023. The new 'Head Honcho' is Daniel John [email protected] Trust you get some 'sense'I think he has already, but I'll pass that on. Cheers.
I'm sure said friend knows this, but I'll pass it on. Honestly it is such a crap situation over here, I took a 'scenic' route back from Narberth a few days ago and the roads got noticeably worse immediately on entering Carmarthenshire...To Update You. Yes, Indeed, Carmarthenshire County Council currently has a debt of £400 Million........The roads in the county (and everything else too) are akin to a third world country......Meanwhile, the chief executive earns 154K a year, They installed a 'Tin Foil' sign ' Welcome to Carmarthenshire' on the Eastbound A40 at the Johnstown exit, costing around £35K, and their only focus is on the 'Green Save the Planet' Climate scam, (via 'Corruption Bay') drawing up 'bright idea's' on how to make life as difficult as possible for the road user, and ideally, get as many private vehicles off the roads as possible, along with restricting public access to the countryside......Ideally, into their 'Orwellian' 15 min cities' (open air detention camps). Same goes for all other councils/public bodies U.K wide of course. I am at least encouraged to see that many on this forum are awake/aware to what' is planned/going on......Thank God............We (as a nation) need to 'Wake Up' and fast. Besides the 'War on the Road User' We now have the 'War on the Farmers'. While i am not a farmer myself, I give gratitude & thanks to you all in the farming community for all your hard work and dedication in providing our food and taking care of the land.........The 'Goons' in 'Corruption Bay' want you gone though, on behalf of their masters such as the W.E.F and W.H.O. 'We the People' are many....They are few, They, though have control of the narrative via the media, (Tel Lie Vision) which they own and control. Talk to as many as you can, knowledge is strength.I'm sure said friend knows this, but I'll pass it on. Thanks for the update on the cost!! Yes, I had seen the original mention of this in, (i think) 2021, and now two years on have got my figure's wrong...........It would have been bad enough at £35k, but 135K is frankly abhorrent, Heads should have rolled, but more likely the 'Public Servant' who came up with this 'bright idea' has since been promoted, while the county continues it's demise. That sign near Johnstown cost £136k.
Controversial Hollywood style sign that cost £136k wrecked by wind

If PM's were paid based on their performance then we are due a major refund from the mad bítch we had a few years ago!!!I've said this before. No public servant anywhere should be paid more than the Prime Minister. It's morally indefensible.
Increasingly as time goes by I fully believe that the public sector is less about service provision and more about employment provision.
