Matching Imperial dual wheels to Metric tractors.

Some real world advice sought and a lot of strange numbers involved. Tractor is on 650/65R38 rear and 540/65R28 front. Ideally I’d dual up with the same but can’t find any of that size and buying new is eye watering. From some internet searching it appears that a 20.8x38 is equivalent to a...

Dual Wheel size for 3m drill

So whats the best tyre size for a dual wheel set up when running a 3m wide drill? The tractor is a 200hp size machine. Obviously we don't want wheeling sticking outside the drills working width but at the same time we want as much tyre on the ground.

    Wide tyres, duals or tracks.

So on a not for profit basis ie you want to have the best crops in the area. How should your tractor be kitted out to provide the best conditions for your seeds. I plough, contractor power harrow drills & we have grass, veg & potatoes in the rotation. So really need to plough especially when...

Okay, so I have just moved the farm forward from pitch forks to the 1970s by getting this little loader tractor: It needs a few jobs doing before I can start using it in anger though. Can anyone recommend where I can buy basic service items for it, and is there anything particularly worth...

"Improving Our Lot" - Planned Holistic Grazing, for starters..

 Eh up! The idea of starting a thread about Holistic management has been on my mind for ages, if I am honest. Lets start by me putting my cards on the table - I have NO formal training, NO books, and NO interest in starting big wars on which way is best. I do, however, completely and...

    Modern Day PAVT wheels.

Aye-up, I think that’s what they were called, the Massey Ferguson things giving adjustable wheel tracks. Anything like that available these days or even a variable width mechanically driven axle? Hydrostatic would be no good I don’t think. Just pondering......... I do a lot of that...

    Service trailers?

I'm looking around for fuel bowsers and wondering there is a service trailer available, to bowser fuel, have a compressor onboard, and secure place to hold oil and tools? I've seen the tractor towed versions but is there anything that could be towed behind a pickup? There seems to be a few...

Just mentioned in Agricultural Matters it might be interesting if everyone just took a picture today of what you were doing, however mundane it maybe, would show the variety of work carried out, will start tomorrow.
