Had a sleeper break off at concrete level. Holding a manger front. Any ideas how to remove broken piece in concrete without breaking concrete out? Would a post banger knock a replacement one in?
For some reason I've fallen down a rabbit hole on this and I find it interesting in a bizarre way I can't explain.
I have read about this on a few foramina and there is also a fair few people online who are quite vociferous in their dislike of Stihl ultra fully synthetic 2 stroke oil.
I would...

I am rebuilding a chainsaw engine and want to clean up the bore a bit ,its not scored to any degree ,just a bit glazy ,Cylinder is ok to reuse imo but just feel it needs a little fettle but should i Hone (never honed anything before tbh) an alloy barrel ?

First off are they any good ? We have proper 2 stroke Sthil saws but thinking for odd gardening jobs and log cutting etc it might be less hassle and lighter weight etc ?

Suggestions please, as to which make/model of chainsaw to buy for cutting crooked cordwood , in to lengths suitable for putting through firewood wood processor.
Was thinking of the non professional smaller Husqvarna / Stihl,as they are all so horrendously expensive 🙀🤦🏻.
Morgan’s Oswestry are advertising a Husqvarna 135 mk2 chainsaw @£279 inc vat
This is less than we paid for a Stihl 038 in
1985
Husqvarna are reputable make
Or is there problems with this model?

Bought a replacement DW strimmer last week and came to register it for a 3 year warranty. Log in says my password is incorrect, I click on "forgot my password" and an error message comes up to say my address is not recognised. I try to set up a new account but can't as my email address is...
I’m trying to adjust the carburettor on my 023 stihl chainsaw, I’m trying to adjust the idle rpms by playing with the low speed screw (closest to the engine). However I’ve used a 3.0mm and 2.4mm screwdriver and can’t seem to feel anything when I put it in the little hole and I’ve tried turning...
looking for ideas for an effluent drain across the front of the silage pit, currently concreted inside and outside so will need to cut something in. will be driven over 20 times a morning so don't want it to be a pain/slow the job down. Also buckraking, dont want a snagging point for a broken...
Think it looks bad on farmers when they cut down perfectly healthy trees that have been there for 30 plus years, have a chap near us that bought some land and he cut down some good trees that were not in his way. All the neighbour's are going mad even other farmers
.
I'm am getting fed up with doing a 10 mile round trip to get E5, instead of doing a 2 mile round trip to get E10 petrol for my lawn mower, strimmer and chainsaw. The only thing is I'm not brave enough to try E10, having heard two friends of mine have wrecked their chainsaws by putting in E10...
This is a thread for those who feel guilty about cluttering up dear old GUTH’s beloved price tracker with the chit chat that stop us all being that miserable our families would throw us all out to sit with the dog in the porch. All are welcome, you can even post prices if you want. The only rule...
I have a few round bales to feed this year and normally feed small squares in hay racks (lid and wheels) so looking at the different round bale feeders out there.
The sheep have horns heading in all directions so am concerned a standard sheep round feeder won't be suitable, so I wondered if a...
Any good leaf blowers for tidying up grai stores, looks to be fair range in prices. Either petrol or battery must have plenty of blow and on a farmer budget
Do you do the above each year before harvest starts . I ask it seems to me very few do.
Ok it all takes time and diesel but I know of two estates near me , one does the other doesn’t they both have hedgcutters.
In my opinion a bit a very basic farm /estate management overlooked, but essential to...
