‘I could have been killed’ - walker attacked

more people get killed walking along a pavement by cars than people get killed by livestock on field footpaths. Are we going to fence street pavements off as well?

@colhonk If you were stating that @grumpy was banned, then you are incorrect. He has been pre-modded, which is basically anything he would like to post being looked over and approved by one of our moderators. He has broken his silence in a thread in the off topic area titled "the Trials and Tribulations of forum life" or something of that nature. I imagine if he was not under pre moderation he would like to tell his side of the story. I probably wouldn't be the only person to say that he (and another member whom I have never communicated with, @Walterp) were major contributors to this forum. It is a bit quieter since the departure of both persons. However, give them time. I'm sure they will be back if given the opportunity to start over with a clean slate and not be bothered by past quarrels. (y)

As for the continuation of this discussion, lets please go back to talking about a guy that got knocked on his arse :ROFLMAO:

apologies for the old thread resurrection, but say you catch someone with their dog off the lead running around the field away from the footpath regardless of stock or not (so not under control) what what steps can we take for the persistent offenders?.....as I understand video it with the phone, have a word with them and explain that its not a national park then contact the dog warden.....then what?....what can he do?...is there a civil charge for a dog out of control?....all very well telling them to stop but following it right through how do you actually stop it.

Walked my path today and once again the NFU signs have been broken off the path marker post! Grrrrrrrr! If only I could catch the perpetrator and explain the error of their ways.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
