10% discount from john deere

I have just received the furrow from john Deere and things must be desperate as they are giving 10% discount on selected models
Does that mean partex values are reduced by 10%?

it doesn't matter what price is on the new one or what they give for the old one what matters is the difference between the two as i used to say to my dealer never mind the bull whats it cost to swap

As long as that's an option, straight deals are the way to go. Here it's a bit harder, since people like to buy from dealers so they get the 6 month warranty on used kit. Even though they will pay for it dearly. We call them the people that had straight A's in Religion and F's on math.

It's almost impossible to sell gear from farm to farm. Some cheaper and simpler kit (trailers, ploughs and harrows) is relatively easy to sell privately, but no way that we could sell our Jd or Case without the dealer.

Its strangly easy here in the UK to pretty much sell anything yourself..
One simple reason for this is the dealers markup !!
search the used adverts for private sellers vs dealers asking prices & you will see why this is so straight forward.
In most cases you get little or no warranty on most used kit also. esp once its out of any makers warranty.
