Our local police are "encouraged" not to arrest people unless they absolutely have to now apparently, as they have to take them an hour and a bit down the road to a station that can deal with it and it would leave their very large patch undermanned ! At most times there is only 4 officers covering a very large area and during the holiday season most of their time is taken up with incidents at the 2 large caravan/holiday camps in the area
