Assuming it all kicks off on Halloween as BoJo would like, surely the EU must put pressure on the Irish Republic to put border controls in place to protect its frontier?

Would they be Remoanians then?It could be manned by Romanians. They will need to find some sort of employment if the UK sends the more criminal types back home.
According to the media a no deal would be disastrous. What will it be like on that date and weeks after if as it looks like we leave with no back up plans, will lorrys just go over the Irish border and what about port and people flying in to Europe, l thing it will just have to carry on the same as normal who is going to stop lorrys etc, no one.
According to the media a no deal would be disastrous.
But the brexiteers on here probably know better.
That would be the media that said going no deal would destroy the uk aircraft sector, mainly our airbus plants due to eu tariffs, remind me again what tariffs on aircraft and their parts are, and you believe anything they sayAccording to the media a no deal would be disastrous.

Brexiteers do probably know better than the people who run and influence some of the media. Your following of the media is obviously selective or you make sweeping generalisations to score points. Are you worried about tariffs on French perfume perhaps?According to the media a no deal would be disastrous.

Customs issues would not be a worry if production moved to an EU contry.Any links to media reports that it would be the tariffs that would be a problem with airbus? The report I found (March 2018) recognised that they wouldn’t be a problem but that customs issues were the worry.

Yes I meant airbus building planes there, perhaps didnt make that clearRolls Royce build jet engines and other highly complex components as opposed to complete aircraft. They are one of the few companies who can do it and are continually at the cutting edge of technology.
