Well the salt and other beet fertiliser is here and the Maxpro is ordered up front, so might as well use it.
Round we go again.
Round we go again.
We have some superb beet . And one 9 acre which is shite or half of it is rank flinty sand and has a bcn patch but all looks good , pig muck oil radish oat and just getting all the ducks lined up , some had had 2 inch irrigated , come and have a look just taken these pics , thought it would never come as pushed it out of sight with mulch drill to the moisture. No idea where it’s finding moisture to keep goingPs I don’t believe hardly anyone has beet looking like those in the photo this year.....
I did say hardly anyone! Congratulations, looks fantastic. We have some superb beet . Yes. My neighbour does. Be as gentle as possible. How do people push up on beet heeps. saw a video of someone pushing up beet with a grain pusher, anyone on here tried that? how much stress does it put on the pusher? Currently use a beet bucket to push up atm but wondering if a pusher would give us more room and how much reinforcement our pusher would need
We did when we grew beet. As @Flat 10 says you just need to be as gentle as you can.How do people push up on beet heeps. saw a video of someone pushing up beet with a grain pusher, anyone on here tried that? how much stress does it put on the pusher? We push our heap up with grain pusher for years. Find it easier and quicker than a bucket. As others have said don't try to push too much at once, just grade it up face of heap. How do people push up on beet heeps. saw a video of someone pushing up beet with a grain pusher, anyone on here tried that? how much stress does it put on the pusher? Mine are Gauguin or degas. We both moaned about Gauguin earlier in the year I thinkWouldn't say I've got it bad but in one field there is a noticable amount of cercospora in one field particularly.
What variety are you noticing it in @flat10?????
All my beet this year are gaugan and I'm not impressed, no wonder there was loads of that seed about, no bugger with any sense wanted it.
