Forecast for us is dry from Wednesday on. But even at that it'll be a very hard week to make silage. Met office humidity forecast doesn't drop below mid eighties at any time this week. Forecast is poor for next week.

Well I think carpet silage might be the only bit of silaging that we get done this week.

I bet you bolloked him when he told you about it in first place

How long do you keep them? I tried a claas the other day and really rated it,I’m currently racking up hours on a hire machine still

I bloody told you so!

People should listen to me more often: I've got a degree you know. :wacky:

Was your demo one of the new liebherr ones? I have yet to drive one of those, both the ones I use regularly are Kramer built, as controllable as a Merlo but with the hydraulic grunt of a Manitou. Cheaper than a JCB, too.

Circa 150 acres. Looks like I might bring back one or two extra fields that I released for heifer grazing after second cut, before it gets out of order. They've had a quick graze, but would still be big enough to run the mower over them now. Mowing in progress.

Yeah one of the new type ones, only thing I didn’t like was the visibility with the bonnet being so high but other than that it was a cracking machine

The newer Kramer has the exact same problem, it's almost like the cab/seat is sunk down 4-6 inches too low, whereas the earlier one you can see over the side nicely. Was there a mirror or camera placed so you could see well? The newer Kramer has mirrors sited so you can see all around you, I presume this is from the mother regs.

Was the cab layout and engine grunt ok? CVT transmission isn't it?
