If your going to calve in a shed and house and stuff them flat out, youll be near 8 months housed.Sorry I forgot you can budget on a much shorter winter than we can. I have to work on closer to 10 tonne a cow to safe
We tend to have someone with a self propelled do first cut now then chop the other cuts ourselves. 300hp is the most we have used.My cousin has 1355 had a lot of problems with that. then went to 1460 better but still had jf issues, he brought a t8.435 last year that helped but then had more slip clutch problems.
Is that because the jf struggle with it? Think my cousin would be better to do that. us brought a self propelled never go back once had one.We tend to have someone with a self propelled do first cut now then chop the other cuts ourselves. 300hp is the most we have used.
Had it 9-10 years. Likes power and a clean even swath, hence asking about mergers. Some pre-emptive tlc goes along way to reducing down time.

Won't take long with that much grunt under the bonnet!
I suppose he's going to blow over one trailer into another in the third photo?
Would you feel the same if there was half a tonne of grain spilt over the side of a grain trailer? Sorry if that sounds aggressive but it makes my blood boil to see grass chopped then blown back onto the ground! Got to be one of the best reasons to have a wagon - to see all the whole leaves of red clover in a clamp that you know 50% of would have blown away if it had gone up a forager spout insteadJust open gate and let cows in for a day, they soon tidy up any missed bits

No. It would be a big pile of grass for half a ton to be put over the side?Would you feel the same if there was half a tonne of grain spilt over the side of a grain trailer?
