3 x heston bale grab

Which bale grab for handling three heston bales 8x4x4 in size. Ideally I need to flip them over in the field so strings are outwards. This would be to load into store in a shed that goes from 4 high on the outside to 6 high in the middle. Currently using a spike with a backframe that handles 2.
I also want to be able to use the new grab to put the 3 bales down flat in a line as well as stacking them 3 high if that makes sense hopefully. I dont want one with a top grab as theres not enough room to open it in the shed space so it must be a side grab type machine.

What are they like loading 3 high in the field onto bale trailers? No road work so wouldn't be strapping them on ideally.

we wouldnt go back to bale spikes put it that way if your limited and cant use a top grab the choices are limited prob best to look at how the carrot straw guys do it as they shift a lot of straw

Would a heath bale grab be any good? Try as I might I can't remember if I ever used one to handle Hesstons. But I used to pick up quadrants from basically any side/angle and it would grip them no sweat.

You don't want spikes to have to pull out of bales, they are pants for loading lorries anyway. The Heath grab doesn't rely on any spikes at the bottom but then the tines it does have are very large. This means you can stack at height without bashing the roof with the frame of the grab and can see everything (well, far better than a top grab). I personally only ever handled 3 at a time so didn't bother with extending the top rail.

The only downside is having to push bales up the arsh of a trailer which can be difficult with a smaller loader.

They are very well made. Having never used one before I got on really well. Very well built. Just need a loader with some serious capacity because with 3 bales swinging about it can place a lot of strain on the boom and headstock.

Granted, he’s only using 90/120 bales, but even with 3 of those his 320s, the headstock knows it’s on there

MX V7000 here, usually have the tine bar in float so you don’t get the pulling stack problem but it’s handy as you don’t have to grab every bale, can often pick 2 or 3 4x3s up without grabbing them.
