No.The pickup of brilliance and simplicity, you mean.
@smcapstick was correct first time.
A sack barrow with a 5th wheel may well be more refined

yea but you are pulling it from on top the axle rather than a hitch what 3 foot behind it ? so it will cut the corners more
It's so brilliant that next to nobody wants one and it's finally being thrown in the bin!The pickup of brilliance and simplicity, you mean.

Get me a Cummins lump out of a 2015 Nissan Titan and slot it into a new Navara and I will be a very smiley boy
Knickers to them!What about tachographs and speed limiters?
And licence etc. The over regulated nanny state i'm sure would try and close any loopholes.What about tachographs and speed limiters?
all up it can go to 7tAm I right in thinking that some Landrovers could tow 4 ton legally if fitted with a 4 bolt pin hitch and the trailer was fitted with coupled brakes (whatever that means) I've never heard anything about it in recent years so maybe it's not possible/legal anymore.
And I suppose a 2.5 naturally aspirated diesel landy from the 80's would never go fast enough pulling 4 ton to be unsafe.
or costSo 108 posts and no definitive answer as to whether it is legal to have a gooseneck setup in this country, and how much it could carry.

not got a opinion either way looked into them 20 years ago too much cost and hassle 20 years on seem to be in the same position hence why they are not popular over here for haulage in 35years of being around road haulage i have seen 2 7.5t mini artics both were furniture wagons seen a few caravans all were with the fairgroundsCan we assume you're not in favour then?
Yes we have.So 108 posts and no definitive answer as to whether it is legal to have a gooseneck setup in this country, and how much it could carry.
stop talking about it then and get it doneYes we have.
Using a fifth wheel adds the vehicle's payload to the trailer MAM - so a 1 tonne load bed plus 3.5t drawbar load would result in a 4.5t trailer and load combination on overrun brakes. Legal and already in use with caravans.
For a drawbar trailer, the capacity can be increased with the use of a four-bolt hitch and coupled brakes.
It's all above, you just need to read it. Easy peasy, squeeze the lemon.
Who's rewarding me? I need that round baler to clear up the lawn clippingsAre you not still going to need a Tacho if it is hire and reward?
