only a trial fit so far but looks very well made - I think there might be an issue to solve with cable that limits travel though, as far as I can tell looking at the the pics of these fitted to drills in Australia the position of the 750a's rotating tool bar in relation to the green frame seems very different on a UK drill . If this is the case I'm sure we can solve it though

@Bprengineering ??

Hi Clive we usually supply an RHS bar that bolts directly onto the 1590 JD box drills over here to raise the the wheels with the discs. As we do not have access to your 750's we have not attempted to adapt out product yet. You should be able to set up a temporary attachment point for trials though without too much trouble. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further help if needed.

I have been using them for 5 yrs, really helpful in seeding rape image.jpg

Does the row cleaners on disc drills on the second row throw the straw back over the first row?
I see that most slugs live under the straw, and therefore will pellets not really help as they stay there and eat the emerging plants under the straw.

how much does this effect the crop % wise as i here about it but not seen it

it's not that big a deal really but can be a problem in certain crops, there are none mechanical solutions like rotation etc that are good solutions and have been my way around it but there are also situations where it is a problem like OSR after wheat, seconds cereals and wheat after oats all of which can be hairpinning situations that row cleaners can help. setting up the drill well and having sharp discs mitigate the problem as well but are not always possible or enough IMO

trouble is good row cleaners are expensive, I bought a cheap tine drill for less than a set would cost for my 6m ! and doubled my drilling capacity into the bargain ! if a cheap solution could be engineered then it would be a very good addition to a 750a

Why i ask if it is a small % of seed just up the seed rate is that not answer

it can be part of the solution - hair pinning is not unsolvable so is not a deal breaker but it is something that needs thought and consideration in certain rotational positions

if you get the toxic acid anaerobic soup breakdown round round plant or seeds yo can loose them all regardless of number. if you don't get the problem due to favourable conditions you would end up too thick a crop and in the case of crop like OSR high seed rates are cost prohibitive
