8.5t transport with Herron 12t H2 BRL

As above, anyone have any experience of using this trailer to transport a 8.5t digger? Just seems to make sense to take dump trailer and digger together, so you don’t have to keep running back and forth with a low loader. It would also reduce the capital tied up in having both a low loader and a dump trailer.

Not that trailer but plenty will be using that type of trailer to move digger and spoil

No one can say the tractor and trailer aren't involved in the actual operation, not just haulage.

Be fine on rubber tracks but mine on 600mm steel won't fit in a trailer . I've not read the spec so this might be wider to accommodate but it's a neat fit on a low loader.

Also only other downside I can see is you'd get fed up handling heavy ramps in wet shitty conditions

The one above uses the door and part of the back of the trailer as a beaver tail so you only have short Ali ramps to move

Fair enough.

But I'm just pointing it out as it's bad enough sliding around in a wet field folding up manual ramps some days never mind carrying them no matter how small

Video says 2m ramps only 20kg stored right at the back so your not having to move them around so much

I'll bet the ramps aren't rated for 8.5 ton digger if you check (deliberate) and I don't know how you'll keep hitch load under 3 ton if you're bothered about such things.
