Up at 6am to go around the ewes, and found a pair of twins up and sucking with Mum, and happily no dead ones . So a good start.

Checked the Maternity area, all 3 ewes and their lambs up and looking well after an unaccustomed night under cover (Easycare don't like the good things in life!

Chucked them back out in the flock, and nice to see the lambs toddling after them, and great that the ewes did not pee off to the furthest reach of the field WITHOUT the lamb! Still good...

Same with a cow and calf turned out. Still good.

11am Coffee time and the Sun shining, and just a bit of feeding to go.

Great, I can have an afternoon and watch the European Rugby on telly from 12.30..... Still good.

Hahahaha..... Herself, "don't you forget to put those early potatoes in the garden today...!"

You'd break your spade if you tried to dig the ground here today. Another very hard frost this morning.

Just a touch of frost this am, but sunny now. But soooo dry.

Happily, the early application of N has paid dividends, like with last year, with the dry Spring. I think on balance, the risk of losing some N down the drain is outweighed by the chance of some early bite!
