I am a third-year university student studying Biological Sciences.

I have made a survey about soil-testing and farming techniques.

The survey is under 5 minutes and ideally, I would like to have 100 participants!

If you could please click the link below this would be massively appreciated!!

(the more data I get, meaning more participants, the better quality of results I will get at the end of my study)

:)))) have a nice day

Your survey is not well done, in that it allows only a single answer to be ticked, Gemma. I gave up as it was impossible to respond properly.

4. What soil amendments do you use?

Only allows One to be ticked. I would suggest 99.9% of famers will be using more than one "amendment"!

5. If manure was selected, what type is used?

Same issue, many of use more than one type of manure

8. If yes, what soil tests have been carried out?

Same issue

11. Which of the following soil protection measures are undertaken on your land? Select all that apply.

Same issue

Done. Did you know that soil sampling is a requirement of most of the assurance schemes that farms have to do? Had to show results to red tractor last week.

That's interesting, no I did not know this!

My survey is accompanied with some soil tests that I am having to do at-home because my university labs are shut😂 I am hoping they will come out accurately 😅

I had to do similar when I was at college. Most of my farm has a pH above 8.

I do question the final point on "sustainable". I find it's is frequently something of a trite expression in many ways, and there are many different areas that it can and should cover when being used in a scientific survey like yours.

Prince Charles can chunter on about his Estates being sustainable... however for his Tenants, sustainable may well mean that their farming business can keep going, with adequate profit to live on and to re-invest in the land and the business.

But I think I know what you mean though :)

Survey completed Gemma.
