Accord meter units or 3m v 4m differences

Are the meter units identical bar the gearing to drive them
I got a 3m unit today as spares but is different number of teeth on gears
I was wanting the low gears off it and wonder if they will fit onto the 4m unit

@Drillman has done the change 3m to 4m.
The metering differences are in the land drive wheel gearing afaik.

Ours was different gears in chain drive from metering wheel

I cut a 4m down to 3 and just changed the sprockets on the chain drive.

just looking there now they seem the same for a da and dl

am i having a thick moment but if you just pull the red gear out to activate the micro drive does it disengae from something as as far as i can tell all them gears are pinned to shafts so there will be gear clash going on

Been a while but yep, just slide it out and it disengages from one and onto another if I remember rightly

There is a sticker on the cover of the drive chain which tells you what sprocket for different widths.

Just the same, only turns 33% faster due to chain sprockets.
