Aching Joints - Supplements?

IMG_0048.jpeg

There you go. I can honestly say they were a great £24 spent. Somewhere from Amazon land.

Very uncomfortable for the first few hours, noticeably less aches and pains after a day or two, uncomfortable NOT using them after a week.

I got four pairs while I was at it, so enough to swap around all my boots easily.

Good they’re helping but walking without fancy insoles shouldn’t leave you aching head to toe, I’d say they’re providing symptomatic relief, rather than a cure.

I would strongly recommend eliminating gluten, and reducing refined sugar as much as possible from your diet. Give it 6 weeks and see how it goes.

I stopped eating gluten years ago due to gut issues, which it helped, what I wasn’t expecting was that other aches and pains I was used to, both knees and an elbow, disappeared too.

Might not be your problem but I’d say it’s worth a try, doesn't cost anything for a start, and cuts out a lot of processed food (biscuits etc) by default.

Ok, thanks for that. I might try it, but probably lack the willpower!!!
If it works it’s actually pretty easy as you then start to associate that stuff with discomfort, it doesn’t bother me at all now, I’ll eat a bit of cake or some special meal of an occasion and not suffer for it as long as it’s a one off, but go at it a few days on the trot and the old issues start to reappear.

Easiest way to avoid it for me is just not to have it in the house, dont make it an option for yourself. Strangely some of the stuff I used to really like, like a tunnock’s caramel wafer, really doesn’t taste as good as you think it does when you have one after a while.

I think there’s definitely shades of addiction there, where your body is craving something, it tells you it tastes better than it actually does. Dairy milk chocolate too actually, that stuff is rank really, fake overtly sweet junk.

Get some lamberts glucosamine complete if you have moorings especially hips I walked threw the hip cartridge about 18 years carrying large buckets and I have taken products ever since to try rebuild cartridge .

Not had a test to be honest. I spoke to bro in law about it (gout sufferer) sounds nothing like his symptoms at all.

I’m finding everything a lot easier now. I just think that maybe I was unfit and not accustomed to the type of work our new business requires.

I’ve lost half a stone in three months and generally feel a lot better than I did when I started this thread.

Thank you for taking the time to ask.

Wife just come back from visiting friends down south and come back with a bag of collagen peptides (bovine) powder, (marine derived also available) they swear by it, reading up on it, it helps with tendons, joints, skin, bones, basically protein but easy to absorb, our collagen production starts to dwindle in our 20’s and by 50 down by 25%, had my first scoop this morning so early days but I’ll stick with it and see, reading this thread I’m going to try turmeric tablets also, I should say I’m approaching 50,physical job since 15 and keen footballer till my late 20’s
