Ad blue

All I know is my tractor hasn't had any addblue issues apart from a barrel going from £96 last year to £125 yesterday
I don't mind the cost of the adblue but don't fancy the cost of sensors and pumps as the machine gets older and out of warranty. Heard stories of exporters hauling all the emmisions stuff off before they even leave the docks as other countries won't buy them with it still fitted

I'll stick with addblue until I have a problem that mapping it out costs less than the repair

Bought a Case Luxxum in 2018. Ad blue system on it. Kept going into limp home mode. Had dealer out 3 times, kept fiddling and getting it going but pretty sure he hadn’t a clue what he was doing, 20 work hours later do it again. On the forth time rang a different mechanic. He came straight out, plugged laptop in. Ad blue system was all too cock and would cost a lot too have it put right. He suggested we wipe it from the system and try that. He did it that afternoon and it’s a different tractor now. Goes better, more torque when towing and has never gone into limp home mode since. But we’ll never have another Luxxum.😫😳
Not you someone you know, obviously not you personally? ;)

They still sell new tractors just like ours without it in some parts of the world... where global warming does not happen.

Can't you get a non emission compliant machine into the country so long as you don't care about road registering it?

I priced an Armatrac 110hp Turkish built thing. Could get it 3 grand cheaper with a tier 2 Perkins in it but they told me don't expect to be able to road register it.

You say that but long term how does the system like the same half tank full being pumped round and round and never getting refreshed? I assume the way the leave it running but stop it dosing is to tell the ecu that either air temp or exhaust temp is outside of operating range?

You're getting warmer but still pretty cold.

We have a T7 new Holland, rough estimate is 1200 litre of adblue in 800hrs.

we started out with 200 litre drums but have now gone to an IBC as it’s cheaper
