Like they're in need of a good steak?
And a good shearing ?‍♂️
It’s enough of a problem to get rid of oats as it is unless your on a Quaker Oats/Porridge contract, almost can’t give it away if in any great volume...
You can see why people would change though? The wife had to have it when breastfeeding and said it was like bad cardboard but it was the best out of all the alternatives.

Would you class environmental schemes as a sub though?
Bps fair enough it’s money for old rope just to keep prices down.
Environmental schemes are generally taking land out of production of a fashion so just pay their own way.
Perhaps I’m just over complicating it?‍♂️?

EU rules have always been that enviro payments can only amount to deemed income foregone, rather than paying us a profit to do the work. Apparently that can change now we’re throwing off the shackles, but I’m not holding my breath.

however, I dare say any enviro payments will be included in the calculations used by Mr Vegan there, and his corporate backers.

These people are prats, how is cereal farming using chemical inputs 'sustainable', better for the planet than cows eating grass which is fertilised by the cows?

Twisted facts as per usual but very slick and quick off the mark. No mention of the 300k from DairyUK.

Do we bother with a come back or not rise to their lies?

dont rise fo it. Let them have their nut juice moments and tag it the same. By default they will encourage the dairy scheme and it makes us look more inclusive. In the claims about subs they seem to have forgotten about mr dyson

that video is good for Milk sales imo ! - they don’t realise it but they are doing exactly as intended and promoting milk !

farmers need to stop reacting to these minority groups - doing so achieves their goal and makes minority a bigger conversation

I have refrained from going on their website and clicking on the download on how to switch to being an oat farmer.
I can see it now, over 2000 farmers (could actually be anyone) have downloaded our information pack on how to grow oats.

Absolutely, unfortunately I can see plenty of farmer types reacting with abusive comments on social media to what is an excellent albeit inaccurate piece of work on their part, the abusive and negative comments only making that video look all the more credible to those who know no better .
Abusive farmer comments to that video will probably do more damage than the video itself
