Bringing another 50 acres onto the platform

We have had about 4 inches of rain this month! Cows have been housed for a week now and still have 120 acres of barley to cut, at least we have plenty of silage.

Other than getting rid, how would you stop cows throwing silage onto their backs? Have one at the moment that is really bad for it, she makes a considerable mess and is wasting quite a lot of the stuff :banghead:

Also makes scraping up a PITA with a hand scraper.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
