@Beef farmer will lend you his dozer when he’s finished levelling his hill !Hate moving fences on this part of the field, especialy when its a little damp underfoot !
Slipping and sliding, could do with some crampons.
Decent man on the dozer will have us levelled out by 5pm. Il get him to track on up. Be there for next spring
Would love to spread some fert, but with no rain forecast it would be pointless. So so dry, its unrealWell thats the last of this years fert out.
Lets hope the weather is kind and the cows are still out till november ?
Bare in mind these are reds crossed with grazing jerseys and these are the two smallest but they're the ones I could easily find. They're between two biggish cows in the parlour and on the yard they're with freisian heifers.Thanks. I’m sure your jerseys are doing better butterfats than that. Typo?
Can you put a photo up of crosses?
What are there solids like compared to the jersey and the Friesians you milk ?
They're all heifers, their total solids are 1.31 kg per day, freisians 1.85 and jerseys (mostly heifers, a lot of jersians, all bought in and not expensive) 1.44.What are there solids like compared to the jersey and the Friesians you milk ?
Think I’ve had a couple of heifers, must get some picturesMy first goonhilly James calf... A bull!
Yes a nice calf. I was surprised he had so much white as James is very black. He will probably be genomically tested. That's a smart calf!
