When we grazed I always felt the later into the season the slower the cows seemed to get.

Ours were flying in and out on 12 hour grazing breaks, and then we started buffer feeding

Our stale cows have a quick in and out for milking (cake in parlour) and don't want to come in. The fresh group are in at night on silage and have started to stand by the gate from lunchtime.

Its more like they are grazing silage aftermath five fields away, but the track only goes to the second field. Also, heifers are a******s.

We had one the same a month ago that sadly ended up in a hole, think she was severely impacted. Typically she was a good cow

Had one the same but not visible like that cow , so had her post-mortem cut a calf out that was 73kgs it had kicked or moved inside ruptured a main artery,

I had one similar, had Hydrops.
Wasn't a good ending ?

All born within 2 days of each other all have their 2nd calves within 2 days of each other. (Calved within 7 days as heifers). AltaBarney daughters.

How many and how recently fresh? Weve been 3 weeks sending milk, only the last week been getting on top of SCC.

I think there is about 50-60 going through 20 or so empties 15 to dry and 20 fresh off the top of my head. Most would’ve been calved in the last 0-9 days.

Im hoping if I dry the rest off and then get a bit of dilution with more milk things will settle down. I was just chuffed to bits with the F&P for right now.
