Amazone AD 3000 drill speed sensor

Now then, where do I start looking?

New to me Amazone AD3000 drill. Hopper fill level sensor was intermittently saying it's empty, but the speed sensor was working (wee light was flashing when wheel turned)

Fill level and speed sensor stopped working after 15 acres. Loose wires behind the seed hopper panel, or replace the (expensive) sensors and see what happens?

Is the connection into the box definately secure.

It’s unlilely both sensors failed at the same time. If you try it in a dark shed I think they have a little white led which will show if they are getting power.

Our high tech way of solving loose connections is get someone to wiggle wires and someone to stay in cab and watch if it starts working again!

How much are sensors? I've a spare one in toolbox.

tim smith is your man for parts
That's the kind of thing I wanted to hear 👍

Hopefully it'll no need the parts swapping scatter gun diagnostic approach, but thank you also for the advice on sourcing them.

How is it wired up? Had a fault on a trailed harvester which was fed off a live coming through one of those red key kill switches. The kill switch was arcing inside and causing an intermittent fault turning off the control panel.
