Getting drill ready to go on other tractor.

Does anyone know the minimum requirement for the oil return pipe for a Amazone Avant front box?

Previous tractor it was on had 3/4" connector on tractor return. New tractor has standard flat face connector.

Just wanted to know if should upgrade connector on tractor to larger or standard flat face would suffice.

I would make it the same as your other tractor then if you have problem , you can put it on the other tractor & drill right away.

Thanks for replies, spoke to Amazone rep today and he advised 3/4". The Avant drill he had on stand had a 3/4" female connector on drill.

Hopefully existing pipework on tractor return is adequate to get enough oil back.

You'll no be putting massive amounts of oil through anyway so I'd think the pipework will cope but you'd be better having less restrictions through the couplers. Flat face seem to put more through than a standard QR but I'd still go 3/4

I have recently changed to a front tank drill and on my Valtra T175 there is no front free flow return and seemingly no factory solution. In the end I ran a 3/4" hose to the back of the tractor and teed it in just in front of the rear 3/4" coupling so that the oil is filtered as it goes into the tank. The return pressure runs at 3-4 bar the same as when I had the rear mounted drill.

I've seen a few people run hydraulic pipes down side of seed pipes.

Would do this if needed bigger pipe for return.

Amazone onto single pipe now with grain and fertiliser mixed in pipe and blown back together.
