Evening all !
I was just after some advise really. Looking at buying a amazone uf1501 24m. Was wondering what people’s thoughts on the uf’s were and things to lookout for if buying second hand .
Thanks in advance

I have a UF1801 24m.
No issues with it so far, put about 5000Ha through it so far.
when i specced mine I was a bit tight and only had one sensor each side of the boom for auto height control. That was a mistake, get one with two sensors on each side of the boom.

On my second one now. First was 1501 24 m bought for £16,000 and sold 10 years later for £11,000 so happy with the resale value. The only major repair was the central boom pivot that wore away other than that only nozzles and filters. The control was through an Amaspray box, easy logical use.
I now have a UF 1801 24m individual nozzle control through ISOBUS and GPS through tractor screen. Now I have got to grips with the tractor task control it is a joy to use. I bought the new one last year when Amazone had an offer on so the cost difference between the individual or section control was less than £2,000. I have no reason to not recommend a UF sprayer other than you would no doubt be able to buy a different make second hand cheaper.

When you say you wore the central boom pivot.....was that the shaft that goes through the main frame or do you mean the pivot that is bolted to the frame ie 4 bolts?

I bought a 2nd hand one a few years ago. It was only 3 years old and like new. I have been very happy with it. Lots of stainless fasteners and hydraulic fittings and good quality paint so still looks and works well.
Mine came with boom recirculation and auto height control and I wouldn’t want to be without them now. The joystick is well worth having as well.

UF1801 + FT1001 here. Echo all the comments about, has been excellent. Originally bought with joystick and Amatron but since moved onto new tractor and run it all through Varioguide with section control and tractor joystick programmed for sprayer. Far easier and superior in this format.
Check the pump to see if it’s noisy if buying used. Good chance the valve springs will need doing, just done mine and diaphragms whilst pumps were off.
