If they set up a just giving page then they are traceable . Hopefully they will then the funds can be redirected to the farmer .......we hope !

Then you need to push them and push them and push them to do their jobs. Because once you have the criminal conviction then the door opens for claims, and the door shuts for jobs.

Not true.
We had 2 dogs stolen in August, We reported them as stolen to the Police.
2 months later 1 of them ran out of a travellers site 120 miles away & fortunately a lady grabbed it & took it to a vet with a chip reader who then contacted us & we fetched it.
Speaking to the Police, They expected the other dog to be at the same location but they would not go in. It turns out that our police do not record animals as 'stolen' but record them as 'missing'. This saves them having to investigate & it is 1 less recorded crime.

So if you had evidence at the time that they had been stolen, why didn't they record them as stolen? Again, the police have a job to do and if you as a victim of crime don't think they have done it then you have to bang the drum until they do.
