Anybody any idea on value of these.
lister elevator probably easier to value as a few sell on ebay. Engine done very little and easy to start all tyreshold air but perished ( one very very bad)

more difficult is the rake. Used regularly to tidy up after bailing until 10 years ago. And in Good working condition.

We had a Lister Blackstone rake like that. Nobody wanted it, scrapped it in the end . Does anybody want it as an ornament? possibly outside a barn conversion.

The elavator could be an any level model and engine if ok will fit other applications.
The rake ,wheels worth a bit if chopped off to make into gates ,or painted to stand by house etc.
Also if jack with rake worth more as you need to swap wheels around.
Scrap weight of all would add up a bit, also so altogether £500 not a stupid price.

What do you mean by any level model? Front and back lift and raise independently if that’s what you mean. Not looked closely but think jack us with it. Certainly was when I last used it. If it’s not worth much I’m tempted to keep and have a play after 2nd cut. Always surprised how much extra you can get with it

Many many moons ago I remember a neighbour of my father's coming out with one of those hay rakes, and raking a field Dad had just baled, and he made a series of extra little rows, which Dad then baled for him, and he carted off for his few calves. I was very impressed at the idea that all those bales had come from a seemingly empty field. It seemed like magic :D

I would have thought there's a market for the bale elevator due to all the horsey folk and good lifers that abound these days, who can't deal with big bales. The rake is a more of a museum piece, but if its in good nick and pretty much ready to work it seems a terrible shame to scrap it :(

It's a Lister Multi-Level elevator, which, as you say, is adjustable for height, front and back as opposed to the earlier model that was adjustable at the front only (you could load it from ground level only).
You could raise the loading height of yours to suit the trailers you were unloading from.

Just sold a Two Wheeled Petrol Lister Blackstone on FB £175

There was a person interested in a for wheel version to do up for his Dad.

My memories of bale elevators are not entirely good. They were ok when they worked, but even then were synonymous with gruelling work in hot hay sheds with bits of hay sticking to sweat soaked skin and clothing.

When they didn’t work you could waste hours messing about with those temperamental Briggs & Stratton engines or derailed conveyors while some paid staff were waiting about doing nothing; though to be fair some of ours were knacky lads who would muck in and help get it going again.

All in all it could well be because of bad memories that not many people wish to have them as reminders!
