I would put both cast plates on the inside to maximise cross shaft movement, otherwise looks great. You haven`t lengthened the frame yet so you shoould end up with the top link holes above the cross shaft, not in front

Where did you lengthen your frame exactly?
I don't think both of the cast plates need to be moved just the one on the left, when you are looking down from the tractor seat, as it's the one lacking on space.

Just where the frame straightens in between the cross member and the front leg holes. Put 4" in there and the headstock rising braces should come about upright or leaning back a little

Looking at my plough today Bob and worked out I can move what will be the front furrow forward by 5.5" on the 3rd furrow frame by putting the rear mounting bolt for the leg in the front hole and then just drilling the middle and front bolt hole for the leg and then cut the frame off 16" in front of the front leg bolt hole do you think that is about right ?

Started narrowing this 59 frame not sure if the plates on either side of frame are set right yet and will have to make a decision on weather to have a sliding head stock or a fixed one seems that they both have there pros and cones ?

As you are using a third furrow attachment and I'm using the main 2 furrow bit my legs should be on the inside and your legs should be on the outside. As for the plates I don't think it really matters but Bob does suggest to but both plates on the inside for more adjustment. I would have put both plates on the inside but I had already welded it a bit too much before I realised.
I am just using a standard cross shaft on mine.

Your getting their then Pete with your plough, I have a slight problem with putting the leg's on my frame on the outside as it only give 9 1/4 " between the leg's will need to put some sort of spacer down that side to space it out the 3/4 " needed for 10"furrows

I thought you only had to put the front leg on the outside and then it would be 10 inches.

it needs a spacer in it, a bit of plough beam is 7/8" and the right size for 10" furrows, but i put in the top off an other leg, its 1 1/8", so i plough at 10 1/4" on YL in vintage, and legs on outside of the beams for 11" on TCN in classic
Was wondering how I was going to get around that one, was going to use the strip that was originally bolted to that side thinking that it would strengthen the frame as well, will look at what you have said because I want to make some thing that I can adjust the leg upwards 1.5 " for closing the crown

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
