Been to look at this morning. Thought it woukd be easier & quicker to rip up a stubble after roots instead of ploughing. Not a well know make, has anyone known of them, can u get the wearing parts easy enough for it.....? Frame seems strong but no gease nipples on any of the pivot points... Seems a tidy machine jus wondered if they're a noer or a goer.....??

I'd say it is a badge engineered Kongskilde Delta, or an out and out copy.
Mine isn't a breakback model so can't be 100%, but wearing metal, headstock, discs, crumbler, etc, looks same certainly.
Wearing metal available from all usual suspects.
Depends how you feel, by time you have given 2 passes you may as well have ploughed, ime, and had a trash free field. But 2 passes will not require any further cults to drill. They are a good tool for mixing chopped straw into some soil. Or for pulling ground over in autumn to flush weeds, vols, for a spring crop seedbed.
Wants 120hp to work well.

I was jus thinking it would be a good thing in the spring to rip up a root stubble so we can jus go straight in with the combination powerharrow/drill to put spring barley in......? Save ploughing....?

It will be, unless your root ground sets like concrete, as ours usually does.
I usually have to plough to break the crust because Delta won't penetrate.

Would 2 passes still qualify as min-til?

A packer roller on the back would help on good bodied land?

I'll have the green one in the background.
Surley 1 pass will be good enough to go straight in with the powerharrow after instead of ploughing.......??
P.s bloody good plough that is, dunno how much he was looking 4 it...? 😉😉😉😉

Cage roller will block in anything other than dry. After roots it’s generally wetter later on. Have a look at the KV alternative as they come with closed packers.
That shouldn't be a problem, want it beginning of May & the beginning August...... In general it Shouldn't be to wet that time of year......? Famous last words 🤣🤣🤣🤣

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
