In the last programme all the scaffolding came down that was it finished -
The main house looks alright if you like that kind of thing! -
but they have built a wooden garage/hen house /annex on the side and it just looks odd and not in keeping with the rest of the house....
I thought the same, it did look odd. Saw a picture on Twitter or Instagram of the family around table for Christmas, house looked just a shell around them, bare walls etc

To be fair if they were at floor level in March, I think they’ve done very well to get to watertight upto now.

I was worried it might look a bit Disneyland, but I think it’s good. I don’t understand the 2 sheds on the side, I wonder if they’re temporary and to be stone later on.

Must have been some back pocket brown envelopes involved to get that past the planning authorities.
I think they good it on the architectural merit of the building and to be firs if they landscape the grounds as they plan, then it will be an asset for the area in my opinion. The planning committee seemed very decent and positive about the idea which was good to see, most would have chucked it out with envy.

I thought they were most likely temporary, as they will have pushed planning as far as they could for now?

I think 1 bit was on the original plans as a plant room, but can’t remember the other bit, I’m sure it will be stone clad. They seem to have done every else properly, can’t imagine it being left like that.

I used to live a mile from there and still know most of the local character's. Most don't object, it's their money and land to do as they wish, within reason. When I was told who was objecting, it was a who's who of the usual suspects. Retired relocators who try and stop any development including ag. I know the driller is localish. It did make me chuckle a bit when she was worried about money. They have four boys at one of the most expensive schools in the country.
