Yes most deff worth the extra, Had several over the years and have abused them badly, they seem to stick it far better and give a much faster cranking speed which on older stuff is a god send!

im with Ace, a valid point, even a good battery dosent necessarily fix a hard to start engine...........

i had a optima battery when they came out, like today it was well over twice the price of a good battery.
i used it in the back of the van for all kinds of jobs, bought it because it was a dry battery for lugging about and that it could take a fair bit of stick for a battery, and it did.
i didnt buy another one when it died but i quit the van work not long after so it could of been that too.

tbh unless you really need one for a specific job the cost is hard to justify, if you sourced a silver top varta battery of the right size ( the one below id be close but best to measure to be sure to be sure..) it would be imo about the best brand of battery out there at not too much above the normal price.
having a look at optima's best offering its behind the varta it would seem, 25Ah to be exact, your not tied to a Ah rating on a dexta so the 100Ah of the varta in the link ill run a longer race than a 75 one.

iirc mine was about long enough and then it sat up for a year or so, when i went back to it had checked out.
like the rest of the lads, i can only give you my own experience of one and by all means buy one if youd like to but if it was me id be going for the varta.
i took a 11 yr old one out of a jd here last year, theres another varta in her.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
