how much do you make at a timeI used to make it to run my Hilux. If I did it again I would build a much bigger processor to take the hassle factor out.

i built a processor to make 250 litres at a time, though ive not used it for 10 years or so now.
I should have sold it years ago, when it was probably worth a few quid.
i think making good quality fuel is not particularly easy but if you do your homework, its ok.Is it a simple process making biodiesel? Cheers Angus.
I am a bit pedantic about some things and like to be thorough. Is there anywhere in particular to look for information on making it? Thanks, Angus.
t has a level of danger also, as your dealing with chemicals (caustic soda) whihc can burn etc
Get yourself a copy of 'From the fryer to the fueltank', written by a couple of american brothers, takes you through the process of turning chip oil into biodiesel. That bird has flown for a variety of reasons but the chemistry is the same for using virgin oil.
Don't remind me, drill sparked on our costic/methanol mixer, 240 ltr wheely bin on fire, the others buggered off to move their cars out of the way whilst I dragged a flaming bin outside as it was my name on the buildings tenancy agreement lol.
Thank you delilah, I am not sure what you mean, when you say that bird has flown, Angus.
do you know what companies process veg oil for use in fuel, maybe they would sell b10020 yrs ago it was easy to get hold of the old veg oil, pubs were glad to see it gone. Then, as with all things the Govt got involved and ruined it, they said that normal diesel had to have a % of bio in it, so the waste oil then had a value to the big boys, which worked its way down the supply chain and veg oil sellers started to give a discount to pubs if they got the old oil back. Instead of being processed locally it now travels 100's of miles before it ends up on a forecourt near you.
