They 90cm or 70cm ????Looking for a bale trailer for leading 4/6 string bales 4 high.
Are rockers or springs more stable?
Will 560/45 R22.5 floatations be much worse than the mini super singles?

Our smyth grain trailer has the load sensing lever connected to the sprung drawbar. Works very well so could do that with rocking beam.I've a rocking beam with 560/45 floatations and a sprung drawbar
Tyres make the ride very smooth. Rocking axles make it very stable
Trailers on steel springs and lorry tyres are horrible in comparison. Air sprung is the only thing that is smoother, but they have to have anti roll bars to avoid unexpected lean through roundabouts!
Major disadvantage of rocking beam is lack of load adjustment braking. Very difficult not to lock up the wheels when unladen, and really savage pedal pressure will cause the rocking beam to lift the rear wheels off the ground, pivoting on the (locked) front wheels. Solution is to drive accordingly, though with an idiot in the steering attendants seat, disconnecting the pipe makes for fewer tyre replacement bills
Check flotation tyre loading charts. Some of the "cheaper" Chinese ones can't take the weight of trailer laden with squares. Those tyres get hot and wear rapidly
Yes they are professionally made but yes all the air bags etc cut off and round commercial axles welded solid onto the chassis I think all dollys are like this less chance of being tipped over with bales on@tr250 Do you mean the axles on the trailer are welded no suspension?
Did you remove air bags and weld them up, I did consider you could get very low trailer doing this for farm use
Which most agricultural trailers are not so I think it’s safer without. Drawbar suspension would be a better thing to make more comfortable and less bounce for the tractorA trailer with a proper spring set up won't be unstable at all.
I have load sensing on rocking beams , works .I've a rocking beam with 560/45 floatations and a sprung drawbar

That's impressive. The way it's hanging on that steep hillVery stable on the road and off road… it’s on springs and 19.5 tyres ..
or dont drive it like a springer spaniel on steroidstri axle on commercial running gear mini singles off set to max width get trailer made 8 ft 4 and tyres to edge and low as you can get it
other option is standard trailer and join the upside down club
