Is there much difference between them? Price differences on market reports don’t take into what the type of cows presented has been.
For what it’s worth I’m happy with what I’m Sending into Northallerton, but that doesnt fit your midlands area.
Had a 10year old black and white make £1310 this week

That’s a cracking price.
I agree, market reports don’t always portray the real story.

What’s the deadweight price? I will never sell cows liveweight again, been robbed in the past, sent 2 identical big cows one liveweight and one deadweight and the price was over £250 difference and they paid on the full weight of 540kgs deadweight. I’ve got 5 to go shortly so at £250 that equates to nearly a free cow to the buyer.

Does anyone know what bull price is?
Same as cows?

No where near it - I got £2.00 / kg flat for 2 bulls before x mas when cows were about £2.60.

Mind you they averaged about 700 dw so not every slaughter house can handle em

Was making sure I wasn't taken advantage of with the one I sent!
I wanted him sent direct as he was a bull but looks like he had an overnight sleep over before he went on.

Mine had to go to Foyle because they would have broken the winch at Hatherleigh :banghead:

Sent 2 black and white bulls deadweight weight at start of March. 440dw @ 290p and 490dw @ 230p (probably docked to being slightly overweight 🙄)
Anything towards or over a tonne is better liveweight, or you're just giving them free kilos imo. Last liveweight bull I sent was 1250kg @ 127p back in September.

480kg DW
£2.10/kg hand written on spec sheet so don't actually know what real price was.
Then had haulage deducted.

Less costs/MLC etc. £21.66 per animal off the top of my head, although commission at the auction is possibly more?
I take 5 in at once and it's an hour round trip.
