Or might just try oat husk and lime, dusty but cheap, not much absorbancy though, but doesnt hurt bank balance as much! Im not too much of a fan of flipping willy nilly bedding, dont think it helps the cows somehow.

Went to a farm last summer to look at something and they bedded on oat husks,looked ok but the abundance of crows swarming round the stuff put me off[/QUOTE]

Anybody using the Mootress product, now straw is so expesive? was thinking of trying a load to just dilute the straw use for the yearling cattle bedded on deep straw yards. says its 55% dry mater but is that too wet? its free apart from delivery cost?
thoughts?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
