Great bloke Dafydd and congratulations to him (y) I bet the “clean off trade” was his quote:ROFLMAO:
Did a real good job I thought. Took a bit of stick from the buyers and gave some back as well!

It will be odd to see him in a shirt and tie. ?

What are the breeding ewe sales going to be like. Considering we still don’t have a trade deal and don’t know if these lambs will be worth anything next year [emoji848][emoji51]
I think they will be good if sales are back to normal ish. It will hopefully be a carnival atmosphere as most people won't have been to a market much - Personally I can't wait, love going to a few breeding sheep sales.

What's the average age of a farmer, 60-odd? I think it would be best if the wives just came with a nice blouse on...
Ye you could be right, I didn't think that one through, although devorse rate is high in the farming community so perhaps the 60 year olds have remarried to 21 year old brides!

I think that arrangement would bring the average age down pretty quickly, as it would be the death of them! Not many Mick Jagger wannabees round the ring at St Boswells last time I was there!

Universal credit.

Few can get it if they have savings or property ( thou this is suspended at the mo I think ) so anyone that is on the furlough scheme and gets laid off but has their own house etc wont qualify for any help from the UC if they reverse the rules to what they were pre corvid.

So its stands to reason that people will have much less money to spend on expensive joints of meat/ meals out etc etc if this happens.
Will store lamb trade be good on friday at exeter do you think? Ive heard a rumour that there could be 300 lambs from up country on the way, well think the fella was undecided which mart to use but had wondered about exeter?
Looked a decent trade last week but i just saw a man earlier in this thread thought they were a pound or 2 short.
Are you expecting a few buyers to be in attendance? Thanks

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
