There will be plenty of buyers I expect. I might be buying.

last weeks trade was decent I thought. I bought a couple pens of 25kg lambs and happy enough with money.

what sort of lambs is the guy bringing down?
If your happy as a buyer my man might be unhappy?
I was just wondering if Guth had done his homework and got the buyers rounded up for friday!

Not that I have seen any sold but from what I read/ hear I would guess 5 week lambs would start with a 8 ?
i would have said early to mid £70s , allowing for trade dropping with weaning glut next month . Though richi's budget giving everyone half price restaurant meals upto a tenner a head next month wont do any harm to all trade for next few weeks .

That depends on what weight you sell your lambs at I guess ..I’d be aiming for 0.4kg a day (on corn) so in 5 weeks a 25kg lamb would be 39kg which I personally think is where the best value is and on today’s average of £2.30 would give £90 return...
Often wondered who got the good thriving lambs ?200g a day on grass 10 weeks keep sold fat in the October glut 165ppk x 40 kg = £66 - stoppages no wonder I’m still poor ?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
