Bit of good news among all the shite around
Doing my weekly leccy meter check & I find this has been the best April week & the 3rd best week of any month. for solar yield over the last 5 years..
The initial predictions had a built in performance deteriation over the years, no evidence of that yet.

How often do you get your panels cleaned? And does it pay? I had mine done last year, and it's was just as well as we had lichens beginning to take root. So far this year, to be honest I've had enough other things to worry about. Is it considered essential? We're on shed roofs, 15 deg pitch, I think.

We wash our own with a hose pipe and a window cleaning pole, only 10kw on a similar slope, slippy as hell if you use soap as well ( knapsacked on)
Wash well once then walk away as its like washing a black car, once wet the panels look spotless drying to show all misses.
3 years ago i returned many times to get the missed bit before giving up

Only 2nd wash in 7 years
The cheapo brush on a stick turned out good at scraping lichens if used upside down.
Last time i sprayed with moss killer after washing , must do again

Our last quarter to April 29 th has been approx 10 % than any previous one to the same date since we installed them in 2013.They haven't been washed for a while, though, and are a little dirty.
I'm going to buy a window cleaners extendible brush and do them when it's pi##ing down,Nearly 60kw,

My house panels which are very high angle and do not do so well in high summer managed 1125 units from 7.8Kw. inApril
This has only been beaten once in 8 years in May 2018, which of course has 31 days and actually yielded less per day by 2.5%
All my other panels have beaten April records , except for one set of East facing panels which was beaten in April 2015

What do you use to clean your panels brush/water wise? Got 80kw on 22degree roof, 12m at the apex but only 4 to the eaves, is there such thing as a harness with a device that will slide up and down a rope but 'bite' if you yank it like a seat belt?

Will you help clear snow?
