Best Arable field entrance barrier to stop poachers / hooligan joyriders?

I have just seen on our local Rural Crime Watch( What’s App), that last night two newish double wooden gates on a local estate were smashed by poachers/ hooligans to gain access to fields for poaching/joyriding etc!!
Although not my problem , what field barrier have you found to be the best deterrent for these , what I class as complete “nutters”, they must seek out the fields in day time ,the field s they aim to attack at night.
Is a field barrier consisting of a large RSJ gate /falling post, with a large RSJ on upside down hinges, locked with a key padlock in a difficult to get at angle grinder box the answer.???
Go take a yawn @Chae1

Top bales off last years straw stack.

Too heavy to roll out the way, and collapse if you try and shove them with a 4x4. Strings tangle up in everything if they try and drive over them. Too wet to burn.
Moved easily with a telescopic fork and grab!
Sad state of affairs but I don’t think, pre stressed concrete barriers, pickup trucks and battery powered cutting discs go well together !!
The above suggestion is a sad state of affairs, but a sad reflection of where society is, not good. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Battery powered cutting disks too slow. Petrol driven Stihl saw is the kiddie.

I use tree trunks about 2/3 ft diameter and 6 metres long.a total pain in the arse to move regularly but better than visitors roaring about.luckily main farm is in one block and one gated entrance and all gateways onto roads have been removed.on another block we have a shred entrance with a good lifer so can’t do anything there and other fields have the tree trucks

Neighbour has telegraph poles, they slung a strap round and pulled one end across the road. Bad barstewards. A lot of our gates have big stones in them, pain in the backside for me to shift but better than those scum getting in

Get a digger and dig anti-tank ditches to keep 4x4s from driving through hedges or boundaries. It's as much about deterrence as anything else.

All well and good for keeping out your average joyrider or opportunist travelers looking for a camp site but the poaching scum are usually in a stolen vehicle because they don't want there own crushed if caught and will drive over or through places no sane person would!

Any ideas on how to stop speeding contractors on their bloody great tractors and trailers wrecking our single track roads lugging sh!t. Vehicles are wider than the tarmac.. Am I allowed to shoot the barstewards ?

Tell them or their boss you’re going to report them to the police for dangerous driving, that’s what I’ve done with a neighbouring farmer whose driver demolished a section of our hedge by having to swerve to avoid an oncoming car .

Long galvanized water tank fill of concrete or lorry tyres full of concrete can still drive tractor over them

I have concrete filled wagon tyres with a car tyre in the top as a lifting hoop, they have actually started getting out of their vehicle to roll them out of the way! Another local farm has made big heavy box section barriers, they just cut through them so they must be carrying a stihl saw with them these days! twits!

But when the lampers / poachers have quads ??

An unscrupulous person might string a rope across the access at chest height, and fire a vermin rocket in their general direction to make them panic.

These scumbags only come back because we don't meet them with appropriate force. As soon as word gets out that "the mad fvcking farmer threatened to feed us to his pigs!" then your problem will be solved.
Fight fire with fire, lower yourself to their level, and above all when they (ironically) call the police then you don't know anything.
If the Police were allowed to do their job then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
