Best value tractor tyres?

Can you still get new Continental tractor tyres? Been a while since I've seen any and Mitas use the same designations for each range of tyre as Continental did. They could be part of the Trelleborg group, I'm sure Google will turn something up if I can be bothered.

I think the Mitas brand is becoming dominant, certainly in the UK. I don't think they use the Trelleborg brand on any tractor tyres these days, only implement tyres, though I could be wrong.
The last Trelleborg tractor tyres I had were cross plies, fitted to a DB995 back in the late 1970's. They were awful quality with rubber joins where you wouldn't imaging they should be, and separating. That obviously has no bearing on today's products.

Trelleborg tractor tyres are what used to be Pirelli and as far as I know are still available. I put a set of 70 series radials on a few years ago and would definitely buy more.

Looks like Mitas replaced the Continental brand in 2015

Then Continental relaunched their tractor tyre range last year

All very confusing!

Confusing! Its enough to drive anyone nuts trying to keep track of brand history over time, no matter what the product. If only they were all as relatively simple as JCB and John Deere.

I was under the impression that Mitas had a license to use the Continental brand until the end of this decade, but I suppose they could agree to vary that, as seems to have happened going from your above links.

I’ve seen plenty new tractors with branded trelleborg tyres this year ?!

I can buy tractor tyres cheaper and delivered from Yorkshire than I can from the local tyre specialist in Newtown Mid Wales but that is not much good to the original question

In 480/70r38 size, Vredestein traxion plus will outlast a Bkt by x2, how do I know? I have a tractor with one of each on. Vredestein in that size a month or two ago were only some £60 more than BKT's, so a none brainer.
I have vredesteins in the 650/42 on the t190 doing a lot of road work , all winter it was doing 800-1000 miles / week and they are wearing very well , there 3 years old now .

Just had a look on Farm Marketplace and it looks like there's only Mitas and Cultor available, none of which I know anything about, but I suspect they're the cheaper/lower quality end of the spectrum

There are some Michelin as well iirc from Terry elsey

When you know what you want let me know - I had a great contact for cheap tractor tyres

Will those on farm marketplace come to Devon and do major repairs? puncture repairs? Swap tyres round?
