Best value tractor tyres?

the world just doesn't work like that but its a quaint old fashioned thought !

there will always be someone who see the chance fill a gap if exists and they can see a profit

but if it makes you feel warm inside keep knowingly paying more in the hope you get that service when no-one else can
I'm not paying more though

That's the point your missing!!!!

The local guy likes a deal (y)

The internet says no this is the price:rolleyes:

But who is going to come out to you when there's no tyres services for 300 miles because interweb has eaten them

You have to look after others to be looked after too
It kind of works both ways

Local tyre fitters charge roughly £40 call out and £15-£20 per tyre to change tractor tyres. Yes they could make more supplying the new tyres but fitting tyres a customer has purched elswhere means they have no money tied up in the tyres to chase when it comes to slow and bad payers and £100 or so for an hour or so of work seems like good money to me. Can't see them going out of business any time soon

Yes I agree with your statment very much
Not every fitter can buy in bulk to get a good discount
It's swings and roundabouts

The internet isn't king just yet though

I priced up some tyres for the truck on blackcircles.
Week wait to be fitted and 5% dearer than the local firm who had them in by 2pm same day.

I ordered a full tractor set of Bkt tyres from Terry Elsey, paid by card over the phone, delivered next day, fitted that evening after supper, with the help of the other half on the airline and jack, with a masive saving over local prices. And yes I'm on good terms with my local tyre place in Lampeter, use for car, 4x4 , tyres etc, even sending tyres away to be repaired, even lending them a tyre,to help a customer. often get fantastic deals on supply only agri tyres from them. They allways seem busy, so dont think that a few farmers fitting and mending their own punctures is going to make a difference .
