I need a 1.5 inch by 12” unc or M38 x 280mm bolt ASAP. Shear grab pivot point bolt. Struggling to find an affordable supplier to deliver ASAP. 8.8 or preferably 10.9 with nylock Any suggestions appreciated

My feeder chap snapped it this morning and i heard some distance away! Off a strimech grab and not practical to weld. Thanks

Length of round bar and weld a big washer or piece of plate on each end -(Nothing is permanent when you have a grinder) until you can source what you are looking for .

I found an excellent place near Birmingham a couple years ago, will try and dig out there name.

For big bolts they stock blanks, you just tell them how long you want it and how much thread and they make it.
I had 2 big buggers for a strimech shear grab and cost peanuts.

Ajr fastners , David 07714299150 , try this chap for a price . Got some large bolts from him last year for a plough , he got them cut to the size that i needed . less than a third of the price if i had got them from the dealer .

That's funny cause that's what I wanted them for!
The bolts were all bent and ripped a chunk out of the top grab where bolt head sits.

I had some new bronze bushes made to suit a slightly bigger bolt then welded the boss back on and added some straps both sides.

Strimech admitted it was a bad design so that's why I went bigger bolts

Gonna ned that 1" drive Milwaukee gun for that one lots of ugga dugas required!

Got this sorted over the wkend. £30 inc nut and washer from this chap. £100 From manufacturer.
