Block cutter to shear grab

That is a minty silage face there!
That’s not at its best tbf, massive time saving when getting the wrap off bales, plus once it’s closed it doesn’t drop anything on the floor while moving around unlike a shear grab.you don’t get that inoying bit sticking on the tines and there’s no tines to snap bend break(bloody inoying having to go buy expensive tines and then swapping them)we run it on a merlo 3.2ton lift and it’s fine might be a tad heavy for a loader tractor

How do you operate the bucket grab at the face, can you push it into the silage? I have a shear grab with hardox tines and its not easy pushed into the face.
Was wondering the same. It’s sometimes hard to get the sides of the tined shear grab to cut in round here despite being sharp-as.

About £4250 for the 2.2 metre model prodig with bale wrap catcher, I like the look of the beyonce as bald Rick calls it  but it's closer to £6k

That’ll be the AP shear bucket then, I had one to try end of last winter, looks better made than the prodig but it has a double thickness base making it poorer to push into grass silage and the blade didn’t open as wide so couldn’t get as big a bite, I was struggling to get half as much in it as my prodig. Wasn’t a problem with wholecrop which is easier to push into, infact it was better with its solid front blade, something that I feel would be an improvement on the prodig but don’t seem interested in doing despite the fact their shear grabs have a solid front.

Think it's £250 extra to have solid front on the prodig shear genius as an option
