    Which tub mixer

Looking at upgrading from our current Keenan 140 to a twin tub and want to beable to feed all the milkers in one batch approx 170 cows. So think we’re looking around the 21 cube mark. Will have to be a second hand machine ideally that’s been refurbed. Any makes in particular to look at or to...

Ok not sure if this is possible or not but if it is someone on here will hopefully know how. I have a triolet mixer wagon used it on cows for years starting to use it on sheep program everything on my laptop and send it over wifi to the digi-star weigh head. Vertical diet feeder

Our current shelbourne vertical diet feeder is about to give up! We are looking to change and I was wondering what people were running and what recommendations you were willing to give. It would be a single auger and a 15cu we are looking at. Any suggestions greatly welcomed. TIA.

Quickest way to fill diet feeder .

A farmer who I do a lot of work for is trying to speed up the time spent filling the twin tub feeder , feeding over 1000 head of stock every day, currently using a JCB 320 and a shear bucket, he’s think of going for a 414 and bigger grab but might not have enough height with it, how are people...

    diet feeder

I am currently looking at up grading my keenan300 diet feeder. have a Keenan 345 with bale handler and in touch in mind. versus a triolet tube feeder. I would like the facility to feed bales but only on the fringes of the winter mostly pit silage/ maize / straw / meal diet used. dairy cow herd...

    What size shear bucket?

Our McHale shear grab is showing it age so I'm thinking about swapping it for a shear bucket. It needs to load square bales and clamp maize and potentially straights into the mixer. Current telehandler is a Manitou 627, so 2.5t lift. What size should I be looking at?

    Block cutter to shear grab

Block cutter broke down again today on a long weekend.. going to replace with shear grab asap. Cutter left a supreme silage face, can a shear grab even come close to the face of a cutter? Reliability trumps aesthetics so a shear grab still is coming.

    Farm Relocation.. planning underway

I suppose this is a bit of a flag wave but we are finally into the nitty gritty of the application for relocation of the dairy unit and farm infrastucture generally..this is REALLY exciting for me but it has been about to happen for over a decade now ! (or more from my fathers point of view)...

    Northern Ireland Milk Price Tracker

trying to revive the ni milk price thread from the other forum which has nearly died, we differ from the rest of the uk in that most of our raw milk is "exported" to ireland and with brexit, europe what this holds for us. also most of our dairy products are exported which leaves us very exposed...

    Worst machine owned or used?

After the worst tractor thread and the if you could buy a new one thread. What is the worst machine you have owned or used?? Think mine was a 3 drum Claas mower that was crap from start till death. It was an unusual 7ft one totally on the lift, too heavy for tractors at the time, and crap...
