Blue LED lights on sprayer booms

Where have people mounted these and what sort of lumens / watts have you found you need? I’m assuming I’ll need 4 lights, two each side in a 24m boom. I’m looking at the Spaldings ones at the moment. Good or bad?!

Ah right, I wasn’t sure one each side would show the outer sections clearly enough to see the spray pattern. But I’m open to all advice so thank you!

24 Watts should suffice for a 24m boom - high beam/pencil beam lens are best

Uncertain how to word my reply to your question but in my opinion a bit like my old school report...…. "Could do better"! Click here and may even look similar to the one you refer but a significantly different performer https://www.marketplace.farm/farm-m...ot-light-lamp-20w-sprayer-booms-or-forklifts/. Buy two lights only and under £100 sorts the job. Regards Martin

Having done this last year I was advised to avoid the blue it may look very flash and like something out of the fast and the furious but after a couple of hours becomes alittle annoying. I went for the conventional white ones and as mentioned above one each side is more than enough for a 24m boom

No - white light will not help you see the nozzle patterns. I have 2 Nordic lights for my 36m boom Chafer. They do a great job right to the boom ends.

Tried them but they flattened the battery to quick had to stop halfway through the tank to recharge it.......................

We mount them on the lights on the inner most end of the boom, so when the independent inclines raise/lower the light beam stays focussed on the nozzle pattern. Obviously this misses the four nozzles in the centre. If there's no nozzle camera we leave it without lighting, but we can add a smaller 10w light facing these nozzles if required.

I haven’t seen a white light as clear as that showing up the spray pattern before. Very impressive.
