Not how it works I’m afraid. The public sector will join the party. Let the boom times begin. Bertie Ahearn, Irish Taoiseach when we were have a wild party, once declared at his party’s annual conference “the boom times, will get even boomier“! 😂. Look where that one ended up!!🤨
I was visiting a farmer just north of Cork and in true Irish fashion was invited in for tea. Seated at the table was the security guard for the minister of agriculture who had been visiting nearby. His six gun lay on the table in its holster. He was an amiable chap and friend of my host but it brought a smile to my face and reminded me of the wild west.

Image caption, Councils are continuing to collect rubbish, but many have made changes to normal arrangements
Two of the UK's biggest unions have rejected a 1.75% pay rise for council staff in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, calling the offer "pathetic".
Unite and the GMB warned of potential industrial action, after their members voted overwhelmingly against what their leaders called a real-terms salary cut.
But the National Employers group, which sets local authority pay, has said its offer is final.

But Bozo said that the answer to all our problems was that we all need to have higher wages, winter of discontent part 2 in the offing!
The productivity of dustcarts compared with the era of the Winter of Discontent is amazing (for those that can remember)

Oh, I remember !
But we didn’t create so much “refuse” back then.
A joint of meat wrapped up in brown paper for Sunday which provided meals in various guises up until Thursday then Fish on a Friday (in white paper) and sausages for Saturday.
Use the paper packaging to start the fire.
Nowadays the amount of plastic with a couple of thousand years of durability to recycle is simply mind boggling.
But it is “efficient” - Really ??

So Boris berates and blames British business for pretty much all the current supply chain woes. Blames them for having taken advantage of foreign labour, to hold down wages and neglect training.
Now to fix the problems, he turns to one of those same business leaders for advice and guidance. A Tesco man no less, who doubtless believes strongly in mobility of labour, frictionless borders, JIT supply chains, etc, etc.
Boris…..don’t you just love him!!

At the time of the referendum Labour did not have a Brexit policy other than to sit on the fence and sway in the wind. Such was the state of the opposition. Now they will have a plan based on hindsight which, in all probability, will draw the wrong conclusions. Maybe Scumbag Angela will provide all the answers.
Jeremy Corbyn was a lifelong Brexiteer, and suddenly found himself not only in the unexpected position of leading the labour party, but his hated enemies on the other side, were pushing a policy which was his life long ambition.
Being a very good marxist he was in a terrible dilemma never ever, could he, a good Marxist support a proposal that was being put forward by those evil, slave trading, capitalists , b*******s, so he was forced into grinding his teeth, clenching his buttocks and pretending to support the remain cause, while behind his back all fingers were crossed as he prayed for the dream he shared with his enemy / collaborators across the political spectrum.
Much like Stalin and Hitler 😂😂😂
