This episode has sorted the bed blockers .... they've soon fudgeed off .... every cloud .
That's true when my daughter broke her finger last week ( brother hit her not pin) it was a 10 minute wait in A&E not the expected four hours and they kept her in overnight and she was looked at by three different doctors. People are definitely avoiding hospitals at the moment.

He does have a point
His point seems to be that he struggles to cope with anyone that doesn't conform to his idea of a nice little world where unicorns gambol and fairies dance. Now what started this was a mild joke about Boris, if that pains his soul then he should pass quickly by the cover of the present Private Eye.

Coronavirus: Boris Johnson out of intensive care but remains in hospital

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care but remains in hospital, Downing Street has said.
Mr Johnson has been receiving treatment for coronavirus at St Thomas' Hospital in London since Sunday.
No 10 said he "has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery".
A spokesman added: "He is in extremely good spirits."
He was taken to hospital on Sunday - 10 days after testing positive - and was moved to intensive care on Monday.
'Good night'
He was receiving "standard oxygen treatment" in intensive care and had not been on a ventilator, Downing Street said earlier.
The PM "continues to improve" after a "good night" and thanked the NHS for the "brilliant care" he has received, the spokesman added.
A total of 7,978 people have now died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, up by 881 on Wednesday.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has urged the public to stay indoors over this Easter weekend, saying that after almost three weeks of lockdown "we are starting to see the impact of the sacrifices we've all made".
"Let's not ruin it now," he added.
Mr Raab, who is deputising for the PM, said a decision on whether to ease the lockdown measures would not come until "the end of next week".
'World-class care'
Giving his reaction to the latest development, US President Donald Trump tweeted: "Great News: Prime Minister Boris Johnson has just been moved out of Intensive Care. Get well Boris!!!"
Health Secretary Matt Hancock tweeted: "So good that the prime minister is out of intensive care and on the road to recovery. The NHS is there for us all and I know our amazing NHS staff have given him their characteristic world-class care."

They wouldn’t have any passengers if they were grounded by the state would they ?

Covid would kill the airlines which ever path a government took.

They are dead now are they not ? Or on life support.
If national governments had grounded all flights mid feb what would have happened to millions of people stranded in lockdown in countries that don't want them there? On a normal day of Heathrow and Gatwick daily 175,000 passengers, between a third and a half would be homeward bound. From mid feb the number of passengers taking outbound flights surely dropped very rapidly.

It definitely should not put anymore money into the NHS the money that is being put in has to be used more efficiently. And there needs to be a level of charges for services not to pay for services so much as to discourage frivolous demands on the services.
The problem we currently face is that 4 months ago maintaining a large stockpile of PPE, ventilators and critical care capacity was considered to be a frivolous use of funds.

Government gave local council grants to buy up places in care homes at inflated costs. Patients and families accepted places in facilities that would have normally been refused but such reservations have been overlooked due to the urgency in getting out of the now potentially dangerous hospital environment

No they wouldn't they have unrealistic expectations they are used to a free service which if you have an ageing and unhealthy population becomes more and more stretched the problem will be that upgrading the service will require more taxes that people do not want to pay. I don't believe for a minute anyone will willingly accept paying even a nominal charge and any politician who suggests it is probably committing professional suicide.
Give them a choice between paying a nominal amount for a first class service or have a second rate service for free you may find many willing to pay.
