My land parcels still have "changes pending" so look like they could be stuck in that mode for a while. I thought it meant somebody was actually working on them at the other end, but if they are they must be working incredibly slowly. So looks like they have marked them for editing but haven't got round to them yet.

Anybody know or seen how long it takes for "changes pending" to be actioned from first appearance of that status message?

Last year I had 126 parcels with "changes pending" exclamation marks for around 3 months.

The advice from the RPA was do my best at estimating what the changes would be, but I would still be responsible for any overclaims.

The best you can do is have a go and submit your claim and if you have to go back and edit it.

Well decisions decisions, agent rang tonight wants to submit 2017 claim.
Thing is I have no money to spent on this unless I get a return from it, we don't know how to code it even tho they told us in 2015 what to use but have rejected that.
And I have no entitlements so seams a little pointless really, so I suppose the RPA have won and I out of it !.

I honestly wonder why I bother !.
Got a letter yesterday from the RPA about my complaint, they have apparently throughly investigated my 2015/16 claims and I'm still ineligible.
As now apparently I haven't even got enough land to have made a claim in the first place !.
They don't appear to have looked into any of the issues I raised in my complaint and the whole process to me seems to have been a complete waste of time !.
They have also sent a form to fill in if I wish to appeal and also stated that it will cost me £100 to do so as my claim is for less than £2000.
Unfortunately they can't even get the value of my claim correct !, as my claim is worth nearer £3k and an appeal would cost £250.

Truely unbelievable !.

Advice as given on NFU website - looks like a recognised problem. Looks like a regenerate might cure the issue!

BPS 2017: CHECK, CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN - ACTIVATION OF LAND IN BPS ONLINE We’ve received reports that the BPS online 2017 application system is in some situations defaulting, apparently randomly, to select fields and not activate them. If not activated, field areas would not able to be used for entitlements and therefore a reduced payment will follow. As the NFU has previously advised, reviewing the claim post-editing, but pre-submission, via a study of the PDF summary version of the application, is a must. This should pick up this issue – by comparing the line and total claim data with other farm records a correction can be made before it is too late.

I've just been updating my application, on one field after updating the use codes, for some reason the part field suffix numbers have changed round - ie what was suffix 1 - 4.9613ha, is now suffix 3 - 4.9613ha, and what was suffix 2 is now suffix 1 :banghead:

This shouldn't matter, should it? I can't see why it has changed or if there is a way of changing it back?

I have completed a few forms now and this issue has cropped up a few times. One really must check the completed area against previous years if claim same and / or go through the completed form to check C8 is correct. Solution I found was to go back to land use and re enter the data. Pigging system is a pain. If this was a commercial website no-one would use it!

Should I still submit my claim even when the online system says "Crop diversification rules met: NO" and "Greening rules met: NO"?
I am 100% certain we have met both sets of rules. I think the issues comes from the fact I have a couple of under and over declared parcels. The RPA have severely messed up our mapping this year (apparently due to both a physical inspection last year which they haven't actioned yet, as well as a remote sensing inspection). Because of this the helpdesk advised me not to fill in our form according to the areas on the system (as they acknowledged the maps are wrong and we would be submitting incorrect information, and that the maps will not be updated or corrected in time), but to essentially put in the information as we see correct, which is the same as the data we submitted last year.
I have done this, but get three fields with over/under declared, which seems to be messing up the checkboxes for meeting the diversification and greening rules.
Having made I don't know how many calls to the helpdesk over the past 2 months, I don't think I can face yet another one, so does anyone have any advice?

my advice is ring them again to try and sort as under no circumstances should you send a completed claim form without meeting the requirements on efa and cross compliance or your claim stands a 100 % chance of being rejected

Thought we might put in a field of stubble turnips we have been all grass, may be too complicated as far as BPS, don't know where to start, as we had been all grass, greening and crops never needed looking at - advice please

Wait until May 16th to plough and seed with stubble turnips.
Then by May 15th 2018 it will be in grass again.
Simples. :)

Sorry but I must correct you on a few points made (in your good faith) as they are misleading. First, a claim will not be rejected if EFA or / and crop diversification is not met - just the claim will be subject to penalties on the Greening element of the payment (which is one third of the total) The Basic Payment will not be affected. The little check box is just that a useful checker and is not integral to the claim - so when it says NO then do investigate but as JW44 said he has some under and overdeclared land parcels the checker will not work.

I stand corrected and should possibly have not used the word rejected 100%, although the claim could well be subject to penalties and reductions if sent in as poster jw44 is considering

So would I've penalised, even though I have definitely met the greening and diversification requirements? My understanding is that it's a quirk of the system that just because you have under or over declared fields, the system check boxes revert to "no" even if you still have the correct requirements.

I do not think you would have been penalised if actually met the greening requirements. As you say and my understanding too is the little spreadsheet only works correctly if all parcels are declared with areas as pre populated. Which makes sense. But as ever for goodness sake so not rely on me - I am just a bloke on the internet - could be anyone and am anyone! If in doubt check with the RPA or someone you know and trust - an agent who does a lot of these forms maybe.

Hey ho.

on that I endorse hindsight ,do not put yourself through months of worry or concern regarding penalties late payment triggering an inspection etc which explains the strength of my original reply

So RPA want us all to do everything online. So I email them my organic certificate, and get a snotty email back that they won't accept scanned certificates, I have to print it out and post it to them!!
