Is he getting cows incalf? The test was done for a reason - hes passed and has the ability to get cows incalf.
Sub fertile bulls is a grey area that suits legal people. He works or he doesnt.

He’s still at the breeders , had issues with bulls in the past and hence the test , I’ve got rid of older bulls with not much less re results

Some bulls don't like the electro ejaculation method so can have low results, but will have much better results when serving naturally.
I'd run with a small number of cows. Or if your in no rush to use him, retest him once he's been at yours for a while.

Well that answers your question. You have doubts and no point buying something you have doubts over.

Whitepeak makes a very valid point about elecro ejaculation though and the test results do show the bull is capable of getting cows incalf.

Had to ai a bunch of cows last year as a bull we bought new turned out to be infertile so it put us back 3 cycles so want to put 40 cows in one bunch to bull now to hopefully bring them back into line , didn’t want to put him with a few too see if you get my drift , anyway spoke to our vet and he recommends no so will speak to the man Monday to see if he will test one other or not.

Vet was here testing ours on Tuesday, both good samples. But he did say there’s a lot of bulls that are fertile enough to pass but not fertile enough to bull two cows in the same day or run with 30 or 40 cows. Said it seems to be worse in bull that are pushed when they’re young aswell

I was going to ask was the bull in question pushed hard. The bull doesn't need to be running with a lot of cows to be required to bull two in one day. I've calved 14 cows this year and two calved the same day.

What's his scrotal size?

Semen quality will/should improve as time goes by as he gets cycling.
Providing he is looked after appropriately.

Scrotal size needs to be taken into consideration.

Agree. Have had odd bull in the past need sa bit of experience to give a sample for EEJ process.
Most are fine.

They miss the romancing and foreplay and chase.

Cows calving on the same day says nothing for when they were billed, those 2 cows could have been bulled several days apart.
Back when we used to synchro AI heifers they'd be calving for a week even when all done with the same bull.

I do agree that a bull running with a handful of cows can be busy on the odd day, I was mowing grass today and I have a young bull running with 15 cows in the field next door and there were 4 in heat today, there were 2 yesterday.

I thought some smart arse might make the point that they weren't necessarily bulled on the same day 😁
I was illustrating the point which you have made about your young bull 👍
